The series explores uncertainty in global pandemic times, when one’s confronted with all kinds of information that lead to a disruption in the cognitive process. Introspection was my response in order to navigate pervasive confusion.
The flourish of an exuberant springtime renewal was completely out of tune with the languished stream of consciousness. Walking the streets felt like sleepwalking.
During this period, my house was like a frame I was confined to, reassuring to some extent, but with nowhere to expand out of, except for a fake exterior constantly producing mixed signals. Home meant living in a constraining ‘interior mould’ (Buffon, L'histoire naturelle). The deep sky was the only real sense of exterior.
Reality became scattered through independent moments, with no apparent link with one another, like ambiguous signs indicative of either danger or miracle.
